IF YOU ARE A RECENT UWI OPTOMETRY GRADUATE

1. Complete a TTORC registration form (Individual)

2. Gather the following ORIGINAL documents and make copies of the same:

● University Certificate with Seal OR Letter from the University stating duration and completion of course
● One form of government issued photo ID (eg: Passport, Driver’s permit, National ID card)
● Police certificate of good character dated within six (6) months of application
● Two (2) recent character references from any of the following:
○ Previous employers
○ A non-related individual who has known the registrant for a minimum of three (3) years
○ A TTORC registered professional
● Two Passport size photos

Please note that laminated or framed documents will not be accepted.

3. The individual registration fee of $100 must be paid via bank transfer to:

Keep a clearly labelled proof of payment; for eg: a paper receipt with the potential registrant’s name and reason for fee written clearly on, OR a clear screenshot of an online transfer with the potential registrant’s name and reason for fee in the description box or as the name of the file.

Please note this registration fee is non refundable. Any errors found in the application and/or incomplete documentation will involve reapplying for registration and a new registration fee to be paid.

4. Apply to the Secretary for registration by emailing all the aforementioned ORIGINAL documents and proof of payment to [email protected]. The Secretary will advise the potential registrant to set up appointments to visit two council members with their complete documentation (originals and copies)

5. After visiting the two council members, the potential registrant is to set up an appointment to visit the Secretary. This visit with the Secretary must be done three days before the TTORC meeting.

6. If all documents are correct and there are no errors, the potential registrant will be invited to the next TTORC meeting.

7. Once the registrant is successful, they will then be allowed to register as an Optometrist/Dispensing Optician via the Register Now button below.
